Hello there ! However you may have stumbled upon this website, it exists, and therefore you must as well. I'm Suraj (Surajkumar Harikumar is quite long for regular use). This website documents my life, my passions, and my work so far. I was born and brought up in Chennai, India, a city of Music, Dosas, Festivals, and Culture. I have spent almost my whole life in this wonderful city, save for my 2 month internship at Carnegie Mellon University (the pictures above are from Boston and the CMU campus).

I am currently in the 5th year of my 5-year Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech) program in Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. I am working under Prof. Andrew Thangaraj on Communication, Coding, and Information Theory problems.

I am excited by new technology, hard challenges and innovation. My interests span a wide variety of areas, from Communications to Virtual Reality, to Artificial Intelligence. I'm an avid reader (physical and digital), podcast listener, huge music fan (alt rock, jazz fusion, electronic), occasional tech writer and musician.
